Conducting inventory of equipment and software is a necessary task. It allows timely detection of theft, updates to hardware, and optimization of software license purchases. However, due to the labor-intensive nature of this process, it is resource-demanding, and not every company can afford to perform regular equipment and software inventories.

An IT company decided to leverage the capabilities of the SCOPD system and implemented it within their organization. As a result of conducting an inventory of hardware and installed software, it was found that some of the information from previous reports was outdated, and at this stage, it was necessary to replace older components with new ones (licensed software, hard drives, video cards). Thanks to the SCOPD system, the process took minimal time and did not require significant human resources.
